The investigation is geared toward determining whether these technology companies are abusing their market dominance in the areas of online commerce and social media. This investigation could have impacts for individual consumers and smaller companies trying to compete with the giant tech companies. The related U.S. Department of Justice investigation will use the tools available to the executive branch to collect information from the big tech companies, as well as the public and other companies in the industry.

Osborne is a trial lawyer and former federal prosecutor who concentrates on the areas of litigation, investigations and compliance.
