Michael Freed, a shareholder in Gunster's business litigation practice group, has earned board certification in business litigation. The distinction indicates that Mike is a specialist in a specific practice group, with exceptional knowledge and skills, and that he has what the Florida Bar calls, "a reputation for professionalism and ethics."
According to the Florida Bar, the certification means that Freed has the responsibility to go "above and beyond other members of the Florida Bar to maintain high standards of conduct and professionalism."
Freed's practice spans a wide range of substantive legal disciplines and specialized industries including banking, bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, construction, corporate governance, education, entertainment and sports, health care, hospitality, labor and employment, logistics, transportation and receiverships.
Freed is a former president of the Jacksonville Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association (Jacksonville Chapter), a magna cum laude graduate of Georgetown University Law Center, and an active member of Leadership Florida.
