Bill Perry, managing shareholder of Gunster, recently sat down with Law360 to discuss the firm's rapid growth last year and its continual expansion. Gunster hired over 40 attorneys in 2021, representing a record-setting year for the firm. Of Gunster's eight key practices, each hired at least one person last year.

"Our biggest growth groups were real estate and business litigation, with a lot of additions of both shareholders and associates. This kind of reflects the market we're in here in Florida and the growth and migration of people to Florida," stated Perry.

Perry went on to talk about Gunster's Florida-based presence; the vast migration that Florida has seen recently; and the firm's strategic plan including its commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.

He notes that "of the 40 hires last year, 20% qualified as diverse, and it was almost an equal percentage of males and females hired" ... Gunster is "always trying to maintain that balance and a diverse workplace."
