Fast Company published an article authored by Gunster shareholder Holly Goodman in which she highlights the increasing use of AI in human resource procedures and processes, including through résumé-screening software, video interviewing software, and productivity analysis. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) has warned employers that the use of AI technologies in HR processes could violate federal anti-discrimination laws, Goodman explains.
"What is clear by the EEOC’s technical assistance is that AI is, and will continue to be, on the EEOC’s radar as a top priority. Businesses using this technology should take steps now to ensure processes are compliant with federal anti-discrimination laws," Goodman advises.
