WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (Jan. 5, 2017) – Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, is pleased to announce that Megan K. Moon (nee Megan E. Kelberman), an associate attorney in its Jacksonville office, has been appointed an ex officio member of the board of governors of the Jacksonville Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section, for the 2016-17 term.
Moon focuses her law practice on complex commercial litigation.
The appointment comes after years of her dedicated service to the legal community in Jacksonville. Moon has served on many Jacksonville Bar Association committees and has been actively involved with the Young Lawyers Section since beginning her legal practice.
She joined Gunster in 2013, after graduating second in her class from UF’s Levin College of Law in Gainesville, Florida.
Moon also currently serves as membership services chair for the Jacksonville Bar Association, and previously served on the board of the Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists, Jacksonville chapter.
The Young Lawyers Section is composed of young lawyers in the Jacksonville area, 35 years old or younger, or who have been practicing less than five years. The group is dedicated to providing a diverse array of programs and projects designed to benefit Jacksonville Bar Association members and the community at large. Gunster has sponsored the YLS’ annual chili cook-off, benefiting an area charity, the past two years. Other YLS projects providing a service to the community include a 5K and toy drive.
