WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (Nov. 17, 2017) – Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, is pleased to announce that it welcomed seven new attorneys to the firm’s West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale and Miami offices.
Drew W. Barsalou joined the firm’s private wealth services practice in the West Palm Beach office. He focuses his practice on estate administration and probate, and counsels fiduciaries throughout the administrative process. Barsalou received his J.D. from Stetson University College of Law and additionally holds an LL.M in taxation from the University of Miami School of Law.
Emily J. Baxter joined the business litigation practice in the West Palm Beach office. She graduated cum laude from Florida State University School of Law where she served as vice president of the moot court team. Baxter was a summer associate at Gunster in 2015.
Sebastian Fox also joined the West Palm Beach office where he will focus his practice on real estate transactions involving financing, acquisition, development and disposition. He received his J.D. from the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law and was a summer associate at Gunster 2015.
Daniel N. Naydenov joined the firm’s labor & employment law practice in West Palm Beach where he will focus on seeking to resolve business and employment disputes at the federal and state levels. He received his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School and was a legal intern at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. Naydenov was also a member of Gunster’s 2015 summer associate class.
Bethany B. Pappas joined the business litigation and appellate practices in the Miami office. Prior to joining the firm, Bethany served as a law clerk to the honorable Adalberto Jordan on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law.
Lauren A. Shumate focuses her practice on complex litigation in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office. Prior to her legal career, Lauren was selected as a Fulbright Scholar to Serbia where she taught English at the University of Nis and served as a guest lecturer at the Faculty of Law in Nis, Serbia. She also worked closely with the United States Embassy in Belgrade, Serbia assisting with rule of law and judicial reform efforts. She received her J.D. from the University of Notre Dame and her M.A. from University of South Florida.
Jorge Zamora, Jr. will be located in the firm’s Miami office and will focus on representing private and public sector employers in complex labor and employment matters. Zamora regularly interacts with local, state and federal agencies, such as the U.S. Department of Labor, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the National Labor Relations Board. He received his J.D. from Florida International University.
