WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (October 8, 2015) – Gunster, Florida’s law firm for business, is pleased to announce that five new associates joined the firm in the month of September.
Michael Alvarez , Cassidy Bergstrom, Frederick Brackin, Anaili Cure, and Jennifer Fine joined Gunster as associates in various offices around the state. Alvarez, Cure, and Fine worked at Gunster through the summer associates program in 2014, before completing law school.
Alvarez joined Gunster’s Jacksonville office and is working in business litigation. He is a 2015 graduate of the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where he served as the research editor for the Florida Law Review. Alvarez has worked as a law clerk in the Law Office of William Falik, P.A. and an intern to The Honorable Judge Marcia Morales Howard.
Bergstrom, also a 2015 graduate of the University of Florida Levin College of Law, will also reside in the Jacksonville office and work in real estate law. In law school, she won multiple Book Awards and achieved a certificate for her pro bono work. Before joining Gunster, Bergstrom worked as a law clerk for Gloria Fletcher, P.A. and a legal intern for the Seventh Judicial Circuit of Florida. Before pursuing a career in law, she worked as the Director of Marketing for The Arc of St. Johns.
Brackin will be working in the tax practice in Gunster’s Fort Lauderdale office. He is a 2015 graduate of the University of Miami School of Law, with a Master of Laws degree in estate planning. Brackin received his J.D. from the Mississippi School of Law in 2013. While attending law school in Mississippi, he worked as a legal extern for the Mississippi Workers’ Compensation Committee and as well as the Mississippi Department of Revenue.
Cure will also be joining the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office, practicing business litigation. Cure graduated from the University of Miami School of Law, where she wrote for the University of Miami Law Review, and participated in the Miami Law Women Association. Cure has experience as a judicial intern for The Honorable Jonathan Goodman, and a law clerk for the Law Offices of Vanessa Gonzalez-Vinas, P.A. Before law school, Cure worked as a personal banker and in sales.
Fine will practice environmental and land use law in the Miami office. She is also a graduate of the 2015 class of the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where she served on the executive board for the Florida Journal of International Law as the articles editor. During law school, Fine worked as a judicial intern for The Honorable Alan S. Gold, and an intern for Legal Services of Greater Miami. She also has experience outside of the legal profession, through internships for The Children’s Movement of Florida, the office of Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, and The Early Childhood Initiative Foundation.
