Press Release

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (June 8, 2015) – Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, is pleased to announce J. Cameron Yarbrough has joined the firm as a government affairs consultant in its Tallahassee office.

Yarbrough leverages a unique blend of experience in governmental, legislative, political and business arenas to represent the interests of clients in matters that include appropriations, business development, construction, environment and natural resources, governmental and legislative affairs, public policy, regulated industries, pari-mutuel, gaming, real estate, procurement and transportation.

Prior to joining Gunster, Yarbrough was president of Yarbrough & Associates, a governmental advocacy firm acting as a voice for corporations and associations before state agencies and the Florida Legislature. In his nearly two decades of work as a governmental consultant in Tallahassee, he has held various positions within the Executive Office of the Governor, as a legislative liaison for the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, as well as a legislative director for the Department of Management Services.

He currently serves the Tallahassee community as chair of the Leon County Board of Adjustment and Appeals. He’s also involved with the Seminole Booster Foundation and is a former board member of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Tallahassee.

Yarbrough received his bachelor of science in political science from Florida State University.

Gunster’s governmental affairs practice is led by Lila A. Jaber, who was recently named to the Tallahassee Democrat’s list of 25 Women You Need to Know in 2015 and was appointed by the mayor to Tallahassee’s newly created ethics board.
