WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (June 18, 2019) – Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, is pleased to announce the addition of two attorneys in its South Florida offices – Stephen C. Richman joins West Palm Beach as an of counsel attorney and Jin Xin joins as an associate in Miami.
Richman is a professional liability and legal malpractice defense attorney whose litigation practice focuses on defending negligence and breach of fiduciary duty claims against professionals. He has experience defending lawyers, auditors, real estate brokers/agents and insurance brokers/agents in malpractice actions in state and federal courts, as well as in arbitration. Prior to joining Gunster, Richman was a partner with a litigation firm in Dallas, Texas, where he regularly defended professionals in malpractice actions. He obtained his J.D. from Tulane University Law School and his B.A. from Vanderbilt University.
Xin concentrates her corporate law practice in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, securities, corporate governance, and corporate finance, with a particular emphasis on cross-border transactions between the United States and China. She is also involved in myriad real estate transactions, including the purchase, sale and leasing of real estate; real estate and construction loans; and insolvency and bankruptcy related issues pertaining to real estate and corporate transactions. Prior to law school, Xin worked at ExxonMobil's Shanghai office, an experience that exposed her to the international shipping industry. She received her J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law and her B.S. from University College London.
Richman and Xin are the latest additions in Gunster’s recent South Florida hiring spree which included Lou Nostro, Jennifer Jones, and Alex Nostro joining the private wealth services practice in Miami and Fort Lauderdale, as well as Traci Rollins who joined the business litigation practice in West Palm Beach.
