West Palm Beach, Fla., (Nov. 11, 2015) – Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, today announced the addition of Elizabeth Ross, former attorney for the South Florida Water Management District, as of counsel in the firm’s West Palm Beach office.
With more than 30 years of experience working with SFWMD, Ross adds significant expertise and understanding of statewide water issues to Gunster’s environmental and land use practice.

During her time at the SFWMD, Ross specialized in many Florida water policy and water resource related issues, including water supply planning and alternative water supply development. She was closely involved in legislation, drafting and negotiating Florida’s water supply related regulations and has played a key role in the Central Florida Water Initiative, the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan and the Central and Southern Florida Flood Control Project. Ross is Board Certified by the Florida Bar in State and Federal Government and Administrative Practice.
Gunster’s environmental and land use lawyers have advised purchasers and sellers of agricultural, commercial and industrial property on environmental issues including permitting and compliance, the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and the Comprehensive Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (CERCLA), among others.
