Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, today announced that Aaron H. Reichelson has joined the firm’s construction law practice as an of counsel shareholder in its Tampa office.
Reichelson is a construction law counselor and advocate, with diverse experience representing construction-related claims in state and federal courts across Florida and beyond. He advises on construction-related entity formation, contractual agreements and risk mitigation strategies to clients involved in commercial construction projects such as property owners, contractors, subcontractors and design professionals.
Reichelson is well-equipped to provide legal support throughout the entire process of the construction initiative and is skilled at advising clients on private and government litigation such as delay claims, design and construction defects, mediation, and federal and state qui-tam whistle blower suits.
Prior to joining Gunster, Aaron spent 13 years working in the construction industry as a project engineer/contract administrator for Kiewit, one of North America's largest and most respected engineering and construction organizations. He also spent two years as a consulting engineer working with many of the industry's largest contractors on scheduling and dispute resolution matters.
“Aaron’s decade-long industry experience allows him to have a true understanding of our clients’ needs and how to navigate the unique challenges present in today’s construction market,” said Bill Perry, managing shareholder of Gunster. “We’re confident his valuable set of skills and knowledge will bring outsized benefits and opportunities to our growing and versatile construction law practice.”
Outside of his contributions at Gunster, Reichelson serves as an adjunct professor at Stetson Law School teaching construction law. He is also an active member of several professional associations, notably the American Board Association Forum on Construction Law, the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation and the Florida Transportation Builder’s Association.
A Montreal native, Reichelson earned his B.S. from McGill University and a law degree from Stetson University.
