In March 2015, Florida Governor Rick Scott appointed four people to the state's Government Efficiency Task Force.
Kenneth B. Bell, a shareholder in Gunster's Tallahassee office, is one of them.
He will serve a one-year term that began March 19, 2015 and will end June 30, 2016.
Bell co-chairs Gunster's appellate practice. He also serves as an arbitrator and civil mediator. He is a former Florida Supreme Court justice, serving from 2002-08.
The task force, established in 2007, is charged with developing recommendations for improving governmental operations and reducing costs, which recommendations are ultimately submitted to the Legislative Budget Commission, the governor and the chief justice of the state Supreme Court.
