Gunster attorney Jeff Jonasen was recently featured in EveryMonday, a weekly newsletter from the Central Florida Partnership, for his recognition by the Boy Scouts of America. Jonasen previously served as past chair and a board member for the Central Florida Partnership.
On Feb. 11, Jonasen received the Silver Buffalo Award, an award given to those who provide "truly noteworthy and extraordinary service to youth." Fewer than 800 people have been given this award and it is scouting's highest commendation. The award will be presented on May 22 at the annual meeting of the Boy Scouts of Americ, which will be held in Atlanta this year.
Jonasen is a shareholder in the corporate, government affairs and securities and corporate governance practices in the Orlando office. He focuses his practice on corporate representation, securities matter and government affairs. He is AV rated by Martindale Hubble and was a member of Leadership Florida's 2005-06 class.
Previously, Jonasen has also been awarded by the Boy Scouts of America with the Silver Beaver Award, the Silver Antelope Award, the National Outstanding Eagle Scout Award and Order of the Arrow Distinguished service award.
