In a recent ABA Journal magazine article, Gunster business litigation attorney Mike Freed explains the founding and evolution of Freed to Run; six marathons in six days, point-to-point relay starting in Tallahassee and ending in Jacksonville.
“I didn’t know what it was going to be when I did it last year; it could have just been a sore old man running across the state, but it’s really turned into something neat,” Freed said.
The event, now in its second year, has raised more than $70,000 and has a five-year goal of $1 million and has expanded to included relay teams of up to 12 members, with runners completing a few miles each.
