WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (April 24, 2019) – Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, is pleased to announce that it has received the award for outstanding law firm for pro bono contribution from the Hillsborough County Bar Association. The firm was selected for the award for its efforts in a program entitled “Project H.E.L.P.”

Gunster awarded for pro bono efforts in TampaProject H.E.L.P. (Homeless Experience Legal Protection) partners with local shelters to schedule a regular clinic in which homeless individuals can receive free legal services provided by volunteer attorneys from area law firms. Gunster’s Tampa attorneys and professional staff, led by Daniel Dietrich and Justin Bennett, volunteered the legal services on Thursdays during the month of April. The professional staff members assisted with intake and the attorneys assisted the individuals with a wide range of issues including landlord/tenant, eviction, domestic disputes, criminal matters, and social security.

“Participating in Project H.E.L.P. enables us to utilize our legal experience for the benefit of the impoverished in the Tampa Bay area,” said Daniel Dietrich regarding the firm’s experience with the program. “Being able to assist individuals in their time of need has truly been an invaluable experience for our team.”

Gunster was presented with the award during the HCBA Judicial Pig Roast & 5K Pro Bono River Run on Apr. 13.
