WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (August 9, 2017) – Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, is pleased to announce the addition of four attorneys to its offices statewide.
Bob Zochowski has joined the private wealth services practice in West Palm Beach, Tim McGinn has joined business litigation in Miami, Nick Elder has joined the construction law practice in Jacksonville and Mallory Meads has joined the tax practice in Fort Lauderdale.
Robert “Bob” Zochowski has both public and private sector experience. His private sector practice includes estate planning, tax law, wills, trusts and probate, with an emphasis in real estate, business and corporate law for the past 24 years. In the public sector, Zochowski served in numerous capacities including as deputy attorney general of the State of New Jersey for five years where he aided in the development of the New Jersey Sales Tax and the New Jersey State Lottery. Zochowski joins the firm’s private wealth services practice in West Palm Beach.
Timothy J. McGinn joins Gunster as an associate in the firm’s business litigation practice where he will focus on the litigation and resolution of complex civil disputes. He has experience defending corporate clients against breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, antitrust, civil racketeering, and securities fraud claims in federal and state courts. He has also spearheaded clients’ investigations of alleged insider trading, self-dealing, and other financial misconduct. In 2012 McGinn received the Legal Aid Society’s “Pro Bono Publico Award” for his representation of indigent and not-for-profit clients. Prior to joining Gunster, McGinn was a litigator in the New York office of a large international law firm.
Nicholas J. Elder joins the business litigation and construction practice groups in the firm’s Jacksonville office. He has experience representing clients in a variety of matters, including construction defect claims, complex commercial litigation and multi-faceted contractual disputes. Elder currently focuses on representing owners, developers and design professionals in state and federal courts throughout the country. He is also active in the community, volunteering his time tutoring underprivileged students and coaching girls youth soccer.
Mallory Meads has joined Gunster as an associate in the firm’s tax law practice. Meads received her LL.M. in Taxation with a Certificate in Estate Planning from Georgetown University Law Center, with distinction. During her time in the nation's capital, Meads gained insight into complex tax matters, including planning for highly-compensated individuals; estate and trust administration; charitable planning; disability, insurance and benefit planning; and related corporate and partnership tax issues. She will be based in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office.
