WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (May 12, 2017) – Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, is pleased to announce that Michael V. Mitrione has been appointed as chairman of the board for Quantum House.

Founded in 2001, Quantum House is a nonprofit caring and supportive home that lessens the burden for families whose children are receiving treatment in Palm Beach County for a serious medical condition. The hospitality house, located on the campus of St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach,  provides lodging, meals, and care to over 1,000 families per year and is the only facility of its kind between Fort Lauderdale and Orlando.

Gunster attorney Mike Mitrione “I am honored to lead such an iconic Palm Beach County charitable organization with a 16-year track record of helping children and their families when they need it most,” said Mitrione of his new position.

Mitrione is co-chair of Gunster’s corporate law practice in the firm’s West Palm Beach headquarters. He provides strategic counseling for U.S. and foreign-based entities on mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financings, corporate governance, joint ventures and other contractual matters. Additionally, he is a member of the firm’s banking and securities law practices.
