WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (May 30, 2017) – Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, is pleased to announce that corporate law attorney Joe Chase, a shareholder at the firm, has been honored as Young Professional of the Year by the Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce.
The annual award is given to a young professional (age 21-40) who has strived to make a difference in his or her community by addressing unmet needs through leadership positions.
Chase currently serves as chairman of the board for the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches. Among other roles, he also serves as a member of the board of governors of the Historical Society of Palm Beach County and the board of directors of the YMCA of the Palm Beaches. In the past, he has served on the boards of the Forum Club of the Palm Beaches and the Friends of the Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach.
Chase was recognized during the chamber’s annual awards breakfast at The Breakers Palm Beach, where he was praised by community leaders.
Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce president Dale Hedrick referred to Chase as a “natural born leader” when presenting the award.
Gunster corporate law practice co-chair Mike Mitrione noted that Chase received the award from a “competing” chamber.
“It’s great that our chambers have such a collaborative relationship,” Chase says. “At the end of the day, there are so many resources out there. We’ll always get the most done by working together, strategically, to pool those resources.”
