Press Release

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – October 7 2019 - Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, is growing its real estate practice with the addition of associates Kailyn Allen and Stephen Cunningham, based out of the Jacksonville and West Palm Beach offices, respectively.

At Gunster, Allen’s practice will focus on developing innovative solutions, strategies and structures in complex real estate and business transactions. Prior to joining the firm, Allen gained experience working on corporate law and real estate matters while serving on a team that closed a transaction valued over $1 billion.

Allen graduated top of her class at the University of Florida, where she earned her J.D at the Levin College of Law and a B.A in political science. She was previously a member of Gunster’s 2018 summer associate class during her second year of law school. While attending UF, Allen was a teaching assistant in legal writing and appellate advocacy, served as the managing editor of Florida Law Review and tutored first-year law students in contracts.

Cunningham will focus his practice on advising clients on real estate law including the acquisition, financing, leasing, development and operation of residential and commercial property. Ahead of pursuing a legal career, he worked in a neuroscience lab and taught biology, chemistry and English to high school students.

Cunningham also graduated top of his class at Florida State University, where he earned his J.D. from the College of Law and a B.S. in psychology and political science. During his time in law school, he served as the notes and comments editor of Florida State Law Review and was a teaching assistant for legal writing and research. Cunningham also interned at the Florida Supreme Court, the Florida Constitution Revision Commission and the United States Direct Court for the Middle District of Florida.
