WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (February 18, 2020) - Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, is pleased to announce healthcare attorney William P. Dillon has been promoted to Tallahassee Office Managing Shareholder.
Dillon is Board Certified by The Florida Bar as a specialist in the area of Health Care law. He also advises on data privacy and security issues in both the health care and non-health care sectors. He is certified by the Health Care Compliance Association in the area of corporate compliance (CHC) and the International Association of Privacy Professionals as an Information Privacy Professional for the U.S. Section (CIPP/US).
In addition to his representation of Federally Qualified Health Centers, Dillon has represented health care providers and entities in structuring compliant business relationships, as well as in providing counsel regarding business operations. In the area of data privacy and security, Dillon has been involved in the areas of HIPAA and HITECH. He previously served as an outside consultant to the Privacy and Security Project of Florida's Agency of Health Care Administration (AHCA), which was part of the larger Health Information Security and Privacy Collaboration, funded by the federal Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.

Gunster also recently promoted government affairs consultant Ronald A. Brisé to chair of the Government Affairs Law and Lobbying practice. Brisé leverages a wealth of experience in governmental, legislative, political and business arenas to represent the interests of clients in matters that include regulated industries, appropriations, business development, education, governmental and legislative affairs, public policy, and economic development.
The government affairs practice represents commercial and individual interests across a cross-section of industries, including energy, health care and education, among many others.
