Press Release

Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, today announced that it was named one of Florida's Best Companies To Work For in 2021 by Florida Trend magazine.

Gunster ranked 14th in the large-company (250+ employees) category, up 15 places over the previous year. This marks the fifth consecutive year the firm has been recognized as one of the best companies to work for in Florida. Gunster is the only Florida-based law firm to be ranked in this category.

The Best Companies To Work For In Florida is a survey and awards program dedicated to identifying and recognizing the state’s best employers and providing organizations with valuable employee feedback.

Gunster’s managing shareholder, Bill Perry, said "Once again, Gunster is thrilled to be recognized as a great place to work. We faced some of our most difficult challenges this past year and we were able to pivot, maintain strong culture and morale, and prove that we win with our people when we work together."

Established by Florida Trend and the Best Companies Group, the annual competition spotlights Florida’s best employers in small, medium and large categories. Honorees were selected after a thorough, two-step process involving an evaluation of the workplace, its policies, practices, philosophies, and demographics, in addition to a random and confidential survey of company employees designed to measure their engagement and satisfaction.

One employee from the anonymous survey remarked that “Even remote, we stay in contact through communication and phone calls. We are given the tools and hardware necessary to make the best of the worst situations. We are a family.” Another survey respondent noted that "I have been at Gunster for a long time and there is a reason for that. The firm culture places value on the people who work here.”

"Gunster hires quality people, trains them well, provides meaningful work and adequate support to get the work done.  More importantly, the people at Gunster care about each other go out of their way to help each other succeed," added yet another employee.

Gunster continues to garner recognition on the Florida Trend “Best Companies To Work For” list, having been previously ranked from 2009 to 2012 and again from 2017 to 2020.
