WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (March 10, 2020) - Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, is pleased to announce shareholder Elaine Bucher has been elected as a member-at-large to the Executive Committee of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), a national organization of lawyers who have demonstrated the highest level of professionalism in wills and trust, estate planning, and tax law.
ACTEC is a peer-elected organization comprised of more than 2,500 estate and trust lawyers from all 50 U.S. states and several countries. The purposes of ACTEC are to maintain an association of lawyers skilled in estate planning, probate and trust administration, and fiduciary litigation, and to improve and reform probate, trust and tax laws. Gunster’s Private Wealth Services practice has significant representation in ACTEC.
Bucher currently serves on the Board of Regents of ACTEC and is the immediate past Florida state chair. She is the Chair of the Long Range Planning Committee, a Director of the Foundation, and serves on the Membership Selection Committee, Estate and Gift Tax Committee and Asset Protection Committee. Bucher is also a founder and Chancellor of the Florida Fellows Institute of ACTEC.
Bucher is a shareholder in the Private Wealth Services practice who serves on Gunster’s Board of Directors. Her practice is dedicated exclusively to sophisticated estate planning, estate and trust administration, and fiduciary litigation. Bucher has extensive experience in implementing advanced wealth preservation techniques, transfer tax planning and business succession planning, as well as representing fiduciaries and beneficiaries in complex and disputed estate and trust administration matters.
