WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (Sept. 21, 2016) – Gunster, one of Florida’s largest law firms, is pleased to announce that Aaron J. Horowitz has been elected to serve on the Executive Council of the Florida Bar’s 1,100-member Alternative Dispute Resolution Section.

The ADR Section assists the Florida court system with establishing procedures for expeditious administration of mediations and arbitrations. The ADR Section also makes formal recommendations on ADR rule and policy changes to be adopted by the Florida Supreme Court.

Gunster attorney AJ HorowitzHorowitz is a shareholder in Gunster’s Fort Lauderdale office and serves as chair of the firm’s Associate Development Committee. He advises businesses and individuals on resolving complex disputes, and concentrates his practice in the areas of business litigation, estate and trust litigation, intellectual property litigation and real property litigation. In addition to litigating at the trial court level, Horowitz represents clients in appellate proceedings before state and federal courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court.

Horowitz also serves as a neutral, and is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator, a Florida Supreme Court Certified Appellate Mediator, as well as a Florida Supreme Court Qualified Arbitrator.

Horowitz represents clients ranging from Fortune 100 companies to startups across diverse industries, including national and local banks, land developers, pharmaceutical companies, defense contractors, professional services firms, universities, manufacturers, technology companies, agricultural and food producers, hotels and resorts, as well as gaming and entertainment companies. Moreover, in his estate and trust litigation practice, Horowitz represents trustees, personal representatives, curators and beneficiaries in high-asset fiduciary disputes.
