WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (March 10, 2020) - Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, is pleased to announce shareholder Greg Schwinghammer has been appointed to the Judicial Nominating Commission for the Fourth District Court of Appeals, which hears appeals cases from Palm Beach, Broward, Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River and Okeechobee counties.

Gunster attorney Greg SchwinghammerGovernor DeSantis has directed the Fourth DCA JNC to convene and send him a list of nominees to replace Judge Carole Y. Taylor, who has announced her retirement. Since 2012, Schwinghammer has served on the Judicial Nominating Commission for the trial courts Palm Beach County, and was chair for four of those years.

Schwinghammer is a shareholder who joined Gunster in 1996. His practice includes complex business and tort litigation. Before his legal career, Greg was a cavalry officer in the U.S. Army, serving in Germany and Kuwait.
