Press Release

Gunster Shareholder Kellie Humphries was recently elected as 2023 president of the Design-Build Institute of America Florida Region (DBIA FL). In recent years, Kellie has served on the Executive Board and the Board of Directors for DBIA FL.

Kellie is a board certified, full-service commercial construction attorney who co-leads Gunster’s Construction Law practice. She advises clients participating in a multitude of project delivery methods and across industry sectors including corporate owners, design-builders, EPC contractors, joint ventures and general contractors. Her typical cases range from contract drafting/negotiation to project consulting and pre-suit dispute resolution through trial/final hearing.

The DBIA FL is the true authority on design-build done right. Representing the entire spectrum of design and construction professionals, its members have been collaborating and innovating since 2001 to deliver some of Florida's most successful projects. By convening multiple disciplines, the members of DBIA have upended the status quo on projects both big and small to reinvent what design-build can accomplish.
