Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, is pleased to announce that shareholder Michael Mitrione has been named chairman of the Governing Board of Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center.
For more than 54 years, Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center, part of the Palm Beach Health Network, has been serving the healthcare needs of Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast. The Governing Board is responsible for monitoring, evaluating and continually improving the hospital’s quality and safety of care.
“Michael is a pillar in the Palm Beach Gardens community, we are glad he is now chairman,” said Teresa Urquhart, Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center CEO. “He helps continue our commitment and tradition of quality care for our patients.”
Mitrione chaired Gunster’s Corporate Law practice for more than three decades, as well as served on the firm’s board of directors. In his practice, he routinely advises clients in a wide variety of matters including business, corporate, securities and banking law.
Since 2015, Mitrione has served on the Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center Governing Board. He holds a number of other roles within the community, including serving on the board of trustees for the Max Planck Florida Institute for Neuroscience, and on the board of directors and executive committee for Children’s Healthcare Charity (Honda Classic) and Quantum House.
