Gunster is pleased to announce the Litigation Counsel of America (LCA) recently accepted shareholder Mike Freed into its prestigious fellowship program. Freed joins fellow Gunster shareholders David Atkinson and Traci Rollins, who also serve as Fellows.
The LCA is a peer-selected honorary society of only 3,500 trial lawyers, vigorously vetted for skills, expertise, and service. The composition of the LCA is aggressively diverse, with recognition of excellence among American litigation and trial counsel across all segments of the bar. Fellows are selected and invited into Fellowship after being evaluated for effectiveness and accomplishment in litigation and trial work, along with ethical reputation. The LCA’s selection process is a combination of Fellow input, internal research, nominations by Fellows, attorney opinions, evaluation of client selection of counsel, limited input from active and retired judges, and reviews of acknowledgement and recognition by other peer reviewing sources and associations.
Mike Freed is a trial lawyer with a wealth of experience in the courtroom and arbitrations, administrative proceedings and other forms of dispute resolution. As an attorney, board certified in business litigation, his practice spans a wide range of substantive legal disciplines and specialized industries including corporate governance, education, health care, hospitality, labor and employment, construction, logistics, transportation and receiverships. Mike serves as counsel for a variety of companies, with regular involvement in personnel matters, labor relations, contract negotiations, insurance, risk analysis and strategic planning.
