Gunster is pleased to announce that shareholder Nathan W. Hill has been appointed by the Florida Supreme Court to The Florida Board of Bar Examiners, effective November 1, 2024. He will serve until 2029.
The Board is an administrative agency of the Supreme Court of Florida created by the Court to handle matters of bar admission. The Florida Board of Bar Examiners is responsible for ensuring that individuals seeking to practice law in Florida meet the necessary qualifications. The Board's mission is to protect the public and safegaurd the judicial system by ensuring that competent and ethical individuals are admitted to the Florida Bar.
Hill earned his J.D. from Florida State University College of Law and a B.S. and M.S. from University of Central Florida.
Nathan Hill co-leads Gunster's White Collar Defense and Internal Investigations practice group and is vice-chair of the firm's Business Litigation practice. Nathan is an experienced trial attorney and former federal prosecutor whose practice is focused on defending clients against the federal government. He has represented clients in both civil and criminal investigations brought by a variety of government agencies, including the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. Commodities Futures Trading Commission, and the Federal Trade Commission. Nathan also represents clients in a wide range of other matters including healthcare and data security, antitrust litigation, professional malpractice, and various business and contract disputes.
