This past September the Biden administration ordered a vaccine mandate for businesses employing more than 100 people. A recent Sun Sentinel article addresses how that affects businesses in South Florida. Gunster Labor & Employment shareholders Holly Goodman and Roger Feicht weighed in on this topic.

"The first thing that came to mind when I saw the announcement is that it's going to put a lot of Florida businesses between a rock and a hard place," said Goodman.

According to the Sun Sentinel, the specific rules revolving around this order that are being drafted by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration are now pending.

Feicht added, “We are still waiting for these laws to be passed. There isn’t any statute in Florida that prohibits vaccines for employees.”
