WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (May 24, 2018) – Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, this week announced the four J.D. candidates it has selected to join the firm as summer associates in 2018.
Each summer, Gunster offers a select group of second-year law students the opportunity to experience and participate in ongoing client matters across a variety of the firm’s law practice areas. The program offers them the opportunity to hone practical writing and analytical skills through a formal evaluation process, and receive valuable guidance from an assigned mentor and adviser.
The 2018 summer associate class will work out of Gunster’s West Palm Beach, Miami, and Jacksonville offices where they will have access to attorneys and staff from the firm’s 13 offices across the state. All four members of the 2018 class are expected to graduate with a Juris Doctor degree in May of 2019.
Kailyn Allen received her undergraduate degree in political science from the University of Florida and is currently earning her J.D. from UF’s Levin College of Law. She is the managing editor for the UF Law Review and spent this past spring studying in Shanghai and Hong Kong as part of UF Law’s “Doing Business in China” course. Allen will split her time between Gunster’s Jacksonville and West Palm Beach offices.
Stephen Cunningham graduated with his undergraduate degree in psychology and political science from Florida State University and is presently pursuing his J.D. through FSU as well. He is a member of the FSU Law Review and Business Review and spent last summer as an extern for the Honorable Patricia D. Barksdale of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. Cunningham will be in the firm’s West Palm Beach office.
Samuel Greco received his undergraduate degree in international politics from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. and is currently earning his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. His prior experience includes working as an intelligence legal intern with the U.S. Navy at the Pentagon, a defense and national security staff consultant with Ernst & Young, as well as a public policy intern with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Washington, D.C. Greco will also be in Gunster’s West Palm Beach office.
Cymoril White graduated with her undergraduate degree in international studies and Spanish from the University of Iowa and is presently pursuing her J.D. from Stetson University College of Law. At Stetson, she serves as the president of the Student Bar Association and is the first African-American female to be elected to the position. White will spend the summer in the firm’s Miami office.
“Each of these individuals are highly accomplished and we look forward to playing an important role in helping shape their legal careers,” said managing shareholder Bill Perry.
