WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (July 2, 2018) – Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, today announced that health care law attorney Bill Dillon has been elected to serve on the Executive Council of the Florida Bar Health Law Section.

Dillon will serve a 3-year term on the Executive Council whose mission is to govern the divisions and standing committees of the 1,800-plus member organization.

“The Health Law Section performs an important role for the section’s members, I am honored to have been selected to serve on the Executive Council,” said Bill Dillon regarding his appointment.

Gunster attorney Bill DillonDillon is Board Certified by the Florida Bar as a specialist in the area of Health Care law, as well as certified by the Health Care Compliance Association in the area of corporate compliance (CHC) and the International Association of Privacy Professionals as an Information Privacy Professional for the U.S. Section (CIPP/US). He focuses his practice on assisting health care providers and entities to adhere to the complex regulatory requirements of the health care sector. Additionally, Dillon also advises on data privacy and security issues in both the health care and non-health care sectors. In an effort to assist in the elimination of barriers to health information exchange, he assisted in the drafting of the Florida Electronic Health Records Exchange Act, which was passed into law in 2009.
