WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (May 21, 2019) – Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, today announced that Brian Seymour has received the 2019 “Community Leader of the Year” award given by the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce.

When choosing a recipient each year, the Chamber seeks an individual that demonstrates a commitment to the Northern Palm Beach County community by inspiring community-wide support, exemplifying the highest standards of business and community leadership, and having an impact on community growth. Seymour was presented with the award on May 16 at the Chamber’s Annual Leadership Awards evening.

Gunster’s Brian Seymour named ‘Community Leader of the Year’“At the core of our culture at Gunster is giving back, always trying make our communities better. We now have over 200 lawyers in 13 offices spread around the state and in each, my colleagues are engaged and involved in their communities,” said Seymour during his acceptance remarks.

Seymour is a co-chair of Gunster’s Real Property law practice where he represents land owners and developers in matters of land use, zoning, comprehensive planning and environmental resource permitting, as well as eminent domain, land use and constitutional property rights litigation. He is active in many local organizations, including the Palm Beach County Business Development Board, Chambers of Commerce, the Economic Council of Palm Beach County, and the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County. Seymour also served as the vice chair of the Florida Elections Commission and is an active member of Leadership Florida.

This is the second consecutive year the Chamber has presented the award to a Gunster attorney as Mike Mitrione received the honor in 2018.
