Madden has been appointed to the Broward County Transportation Surtax Oversight Board in the Environmental Sciences position. Debbie will serve on the board for the next two years.
The Broward County Transportation Surtax Oversight Board is comprised of volunteer professionals who are responsible for reviewing projects for eligibility under Florida Statute 212.055(1), monitoring revenues and expenditures, and offering transparency and accountability to the public. The Oversight Board includes individuals in environmental sciences, accounting, architecture, engineering and construction management, finance, the former city or county manager, land use and urban planning, public transportation, and supplier relations and diversity.

Deborah Madden is a shareholder whose practice focuses on the area of environmental law. She represents a broad range of clients, including developers, agricultural interests and public and private companies. Deborah has experience providing legal support to clients in permitting and litigation matters involving water resources, wetlands, water supply, state and federal listed species issues, mitigation banking, state submerged lands and coastal construction. She represents clients in court proceedings and before administrative law judges on a variety of environmental permitting, compliance and regulatory claims issues.
