West Palm Beach Mayor Jeri Muoio recently announced appointments to the West Palm Beach Downtown Development Authority (DDA) board of directors. Gunster attorney Joe Chase was one of two recent appointments.
“Downtown West Palm Beach is poised to become Florida’s most desirable downtown,” Chase said in the release. “As a DDA board member, I plan to facilitate innovative partnerships between the DDA and other community stakeholders. By working together as a community, we can make downtown West Palm Beach more prosperous, walkable, bikeable and—ultimately—livable. Creating a top-quality downtown is essential to building a strong city where all can thrive.”
Chase is a business and corporate attorney who focuses on helping clients navigate private company mergers and acquisitions and other complex business transactions. Passionate about the Palm Beach County community, Chase has served in many roles including immediate past-chair of the Chamber of Commerce of the Palm Beaches and has been involved for several years in the chamber’s executive and governmental affairs committees. He also serves on the board of directors for the Forum Club of the Palm Beaches, as well as the executive committee of the Historical Society of Palm Beach County and the board of directors for the YMCA of the Palm Beaches.
