WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (May 10, 2018) – Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, is pleased to announce that Lila Jaber received the Tallahassee Women Lawyers Diversity & Inclusion Leadership Award at TWL’s diversity event on May 9.

Gunster’s Lila Jaber recognized with Tallahassee Women Lawyers Diversity & Inclusion Leadership AwardJaber was selected due to her efforts to value, promote, and celebrate diversity within the energy sector. "[She] identified an area where gender diversity is a challenge and made a commitment to a wonderful initiative," explained Tallahassee Women Lawyers. "TWL also greatly appreciates [Lila’s] leadership in promoting diversity and inclusion through her mentorship and education of others within the legal and energy sectors."

In addition to serving as Gunster’s regional managing shareholder and leading the firm’s Government Affairs Law & Lobbying practice, Jaber is the architect of Florida’s Women in Energy Leadership Forum – which she launched to inform, inspire, and motivate by recognizing the success of women leaders in the energy industry.

Jaber has earned a variety of honors and recognitions over the course of her career. Most recently, she was named one of Tallahassee Democrat’s “25 Women You Need to Know”, and received the commission of Kentucky Colonel by Kentucky’s Governor for her noteworthy accomplishments and outstanding service.
