Press Release

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (July 24, 2020) – Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, is pleased to announce its Private Wealth Services practice earned the highest honor possible  by Chambers and Partners, a UK-based organization that identifies and ranks lawyers and law firms based on independent research. Gunster is one of three top rated firms in the state and is the only Florida-focused firm ranked to Band 1 in the Private Wealth Law category.

A Chambers High Net Worth guide interviewee stated, “I have the highest respect for each of the Gunster lawyers and for the firm at large,” adding: “All the lawyers I know there are highly competent and fully capable of handling all estate and trust matters, whether planning or litigation,” Another source, who works with the firm regularly, notes that “in all cases the services provided were excellent and performed on a timely basis. Their strongest points are being able to take complex tax and legal issues and sophisticated tax strategies in a simplified manner.”

In addition to the Band 1 ranking, four Gunster attorneys were individually ranked by Chambers and Partners: Elaine Bucher, William T. Hennessey, Louis Nostro, and Lisa A. Schneider.

It should also be noted that Gunster has one of the largest private wealth law departments and has more representations among law firms in Florida in the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), a national organization of lawyers who have demonstrated the highest level of professionalism in wills and trust, estate planning and tax law.

Chambers and Partners, an internationally acclaimed research group, established the High Net Worth guide in 2016 as a publication specifically aimed at the private and international wealth industry. The HNW guide is produced by an independent team of researchers who conduct thousands of interviews with attorneys, clients, and their close advisors.
