Gunster is proud to announce that at the recent Broward County Commission meeting, shareholder Rick Burgess accepted a proclamation on behalf of the Museum of Discovery and Science (MODS), presented by Broward County Commissioner, Senator Steven Geller. Burgess serves as chairman of MODS' Board of Trustees.
The proclamation was given in honor of the museum's new Discovery Spot exhibit as well as the 2023 National Medal for Museum and Library Service, which was presented to MODS earlier this year. The National Medal serves as the nation’s highest honor given to museums and libraries that make significant and exceptional contributions to their communities.
Since 1976, MODS has fulfilled its mission through four educational content pillars: early childhood education; environmental sustainability; health & wellness; and physical science. The MODS leadership team and Board of Trustees work to promote strong and equitable growth for all who wish to learn, grow and prosper through STEM education, community programs and events, and career opportunities.
Rick Burgess joined Gunster in 1994.
