This year, the event will take place April 7 – 12. Crowdfunding is awarded in two ways: by panels of judges and by votes of attendees at the actual event. Cavendish has been selected as one of three jury members for the art category juried award. He will be, in part, responsible with the rest of the juries, for awarding $95,000 to creator projects.

Cavendish is a member of the firms business litigation and banking and financial services practices. He is a former member of the Florida governor’s transition team and is former general counsel of the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce. He has immersed himself in the art world as a member of the board of trustees for the Museum of Contemporary Art Jacksonville and as a member of the board of directors for the Florida Humanities Council.

According to the Jacksonville Business Journal, Cavendish will serve on the art jury alongside artist Chip Southworth and Timothy LeNoir, senior designer for Bravado-Universal Music Group.
