South Florida Business & Wealth magazine recently held its 2015 Up & Comers awards event in Fort Lauderdale. The awards are designed to showcase the best and brightest South Florida professionals whose dedication to their occupation and their communities deserves recognition.
At the June 18 event, Keith E. Sonderling, a shareholder at Gunster's West Palm Beach office, was declared the winner in the "Law - Palm Beach County" category. Other finalists in this category included Heather Miller at Broad and Cassel; Rubin E. Socarras at Marshall Socarras Grants P.L.; and Evan Turk at Principle Counsel.
Sonderling focuses his law practice on defending corporations and protecting their business interests in employment and complex commercial disputes and litigation. He was promoted to shareholder at Gunster in 2015.
Last fall, Sonderling was named vice chair of the Fourth District Court of Appeal Judicial Nominating Commission, to which he was appointed by Gov. Rick Scott in 2012.
Sonderling also serves as recruitment chair on the board of governors for Leadership Florida's young professionals program, the highly selective Connect Florida Statewide Leadership Institute.
