In a recent USA Today article focused on the tax fraud allegations facing the Trump family, Gunster tax law attorney Martin Press was tapped for his thoughts on the matter. The tax professionals weighed in on the likelihood of whether the IRS would pursue criminal charges stating a variety of reasons as to why charges are unlikely. “Based on the Internal Revenue Code and court decisions, many of these techniques have been in existence for generations and have been approved by Congress,” stated Press regarding techniques discussed in a recent New York Times piece.

Gunster attorney Martin PressMartin Press was the first board certified tax attorney in the state of Florida. He has served tax clients in planning, international issues and tax controversies. Prior to becoming a tax lawyer, he was employed by three of the national CPA firms.
