WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (December 30, 2020) – Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, is pleased to announce that Matthew J. Scheer has been named to the board of directors for Florence Fuller Child Development Foundation.
Florence Fuller Child Development Center offers the most affordable NAEYC-accredited early childhood education center in Boca Raton. This program provides daycare to children six weeks of age through five years of age. Originally serving 22 children, The Fuller Center now serves more than 900 children a year across two campuses in east Boca Raton and the more rural west Boca Raton. Its mission is to make a difference through education for economically challenged children and families to build a positive future in the community.
Matthew J. Scheer is a board certified tax attorney and a member of the firm’s tax, corporate, private wealth services, and international practice groups.
Scheer advises clients on complex business transactions, joint venture structuring and corporate restructurings, cross-border investment structures, investment fund structuring, intergenerational wealth transfers and planning, estate planning, and charitable planning. Scheer has served on the Florida Bar Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section’s subcommittee for Family Trust Companies and the Tax Law Section’s subcommittee for the Florida Business Corporation Act. He also serves on the local board of two industry-related organizations, the Palm Beach Tax Institute and the East Coast Estate Planning Council.
