A recent ABA Journal article named Gunster attorney Mike Freed as one of eight inspiring ABA members.
The ABA Journal launched the Members Who Inspire column in 2017 to highlight ABA members who are doing important and interesting things in their personal and professional lives. This year, the eight members profiled have been fighting for immigrants, human trafficking survivors, criminal defendants, at-risk children, legal aid organizations, amateur athletes—and their fellow attorneys.
Freed was nominated for his philanthropic efforts through organizing Freed to Run to raise money and awareness for legal aid. Freed to Run is a series of six marathons over the course of six days stretching from Tallahassee to Jacksonville to raise funds for Jacksonville Area Legal Aid and the Northeast Florida Medical Legal Partnership.
Freed is a business litigation and trial lawyer at Gunster with a wealth of experience in the courtroom and arbitrations, administrative proceedings and other forms of dispute resolution. Freed believes in supporting important causes that affect the community. Among other causes, he is active in speaking out through various forums in support of legal aid for the indigent, and collaboration within the non-profit community.
