As seen in a Hospital Peer Review article, Gunster shareholder Bruce Lamb was recently quoted on the Patient Safety Act and the legal risks in the peer review process. Lamb discusses the importance of knowing what is not protected in the Patient Safety Work Product and how many healthcare leaders do not understand the protections of the act. He also mentions the inconsistencies of many court cases involving the act and how this is an evolving area of law.
Lamb is head of Gunster’s Health Care practice. He is focused on the representation of health care industry professionals and entities before regulatory bodies and in structuring commercial relationships that meet complex regulatory requirements. Lamb also has experience in health care litigation for physicians and other health care providers involved in disputes with various government agencies.
