A recent South Florida Business Journal article discusses the Portofino Ferro development, which is looking to expand its Urban Development Boundary in Miami-Dade County to accommodate a project that would make way for over 1,600 homes. The property would include much-needed workforce housing, as well as retail, restaurant and office space.

"[Portofino Ferro] is ideally located in the county’s urban expansion area, abuts existing residential communities, and lies in close proximity to existing urban infrastructure and county services," explains Gunster attorney Elinette Ruiz-Diaz de la Portilla, who represents the developer.
