WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (February 19, 2021) – Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, is expanding its business litigation practice with the addition of Rebecca A. Ross. She joins the firm’s Jacksonville office as an Of Counsel attorney.
Ross brings more than a decade of experience in business and construction litigation with an extensive background in complex contract claims, design and defect claims, lien claims and bond claims. She is board certified by the Florida Bar in construction law and proficient in eDiscovery protocols and technology.
Prior to relocating to Florida, Ross previously served as in-house corporate counsel for a government contractor in Colorado, where she advised the company on strategic business transactions, federal regulations, insurance coverage, and construction-related claims involving U.S. military projects overseas. She also assisted the company with the preparation of contracts, teaming agreements, joint venture agreements, non-disclosure agreements, purchase orders, modifications, requests for equitable adjustment, and certified claims.
Ross was also a former attorney at an Am Law 100 firm in the Construction Litigation practice, where she represented contractors, developers, designers, and owners in various litigation and arbitration matters involving construction, real estate, and business disputes, including complex contract claims, design and defect claims, lien claims, bond claims, and delay claims.
“Rebecca brings a strong background to Gunster’s business litigation and construction law practice areas, said Bill Perry, managing shareholder of Gunster. “Her specific skillset and knowledge of the evolving, complex issues surrounding construction litigation will help our current and future clients.”
Ross earned her J.D. and M.R.L.S. from the University of Denver and holds a B.S. from the University of Central Florida.
