CNN and Inc.com recently quoted Gunster Shareholder Roger Feicht discussing the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act, which is set to go into effect on June 27, 2023. The Act will require employers with at least 15 employees to provide reasonable accommodations to workers who have limitations due to pregnancy, childbirth or a related medical condition.
Feicht encourages employers to review and update their policies and handbooks to align with this new law and determine what reasonable accommodations apply.
