WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (Nov. 1, 2016) – Gunster, one of Florida’s oldest and largest full-service business law firms, is pleased to announce that attorney Robert C. White Jr. has been appointed to leadership roles in two key South Florida business organizations.
Bob White is a shareholder who co-leads the firm’s technology and emerging companies law practice. He works out of Gunster’s Fort Lauderdale office.
White joins the board of directors of the South Florida Technology Alliance, effective Sept. 1, 2016, for a one-year term. He will also become a member of the board’s executive committee. The South Florida Technology Alliance promotes the growth, success and awareness of the regional tech community. The organization's fifth annual ITPalooza will be held on Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016, at the Signature Grand in Davie.
“We’re excited to have Bob join us on our board of directors,” South Florida Technology Alliance Executive Director Niccole Ciccone says. “We would gladly have him on board for as many years as he is willing to volunteer his time,” she adds.
White also has been named chair of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance’s entrepreneurship council, which promotes entrepreneurial success in Broward.
As chair, he will serve on the board’s executive committee, which meets throughout the year to support and govern the economic development group. White’s term as entrepreneurship council chair will last from Oct. 1, 2016, to Sept. 30, 2018.
White regularly advises innovative companies and entrepreneurs on matters involving corporate contracts, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, venture capital and angel financing, technology law, corporate growth strategies, business and strategic planning, and more.
