Financial AdvisorGunster attorney Seth Kaplan discusses charitable giving and planning techniques in a recent Financial Advisor magazine article. As new tax legislation such as the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 impact charitable giving, moderate and high-net-worth individuals should be aware of the latest trends in charitable giving. Kaplan identifies some of these including, gift bunching with donor-advised funds (DAFs), grantor charitable lead annuity trusts (CLATS), holistic tax and charitable giving, and almost charitable LLCs.
