With 2019 starting off with a bang for bank consolidations, the South Florida Business Journal explored what the future of bank mergers and acquisitions could look like. Gunster banking and financial services chair Greg Bader was tapped for comment on why large banks will likely eye South Florida for 2019 and what we can expect to see from smaller banking institutions and credit unions.
"Credit unions are still out there, and they're buying small banks in Florida," Bader said. "They have the cash and desire to grow, and that's what it takes to get a deal done."
Greg Bader focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance, securities offerings, and advising companies and their management as they make critical business decisions. He is a member of the Florida Bar and is active in the Association for Corporate Growth, the National Association of Corporate Directors, the Florida Bankers Association, and the South Florida Banking Institute.
