He joins Gunster from the Jacksonville office of Brennan, Manna & Diamond, where he was a managing partner.
Freed has sophisticated complex business and construction litigation experience, and also serves as outside general counsel for several local and regional companies in a variety of industries, including technology, health care and education.

He is involved throughout the Jacksonville community and is a past president of the Jacksonville Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association, Jacksonville Chapter. Freed is a frequent speaker and presenter and has been appeared on Good Morning America, The Today Show, 20/20 and NPR.
Freed has been listed in Best Lawyers in America, Florida Super Lawyers and is AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell. He has also been honored as "One of the 80 alum you ought to know" by Jacksonville University and currently serves on the Judicial Nominating Commission for the First District Court of Appeal after being appointed by the governor in 2014.
He is also a member of the Florida, Maryland and Washington, D.C. bar associations, is currently a delegate for the American Bar Association and a member of the National Conference of Bar Presidents Executive Council.
